Turn your ipad into an interactive whiteboard!!

I have two things to share today!

1. I discovered this app called Doceri.  It allows you to turn your ipad into an interactive white board. I downloaded the free 30 day trial last night and I am loving it! You can take over your computer screen and access any file that is on your computer.  You can then use the ipad to manipulate it.

This is what it looks like on the ipad when you have the app running:

The app is in “drawing mode” right now so I can highlight and underline words, erase things, add images etc. and it will all project from your laptop/projector set up.  It’s fantastic.  You can walk around the room now and have students sitting anywhere.  You can hand a student an ipad to solve a math problem or to edit a sentence etc.  There are so many uses for this app!

There are other apps out there that do the same thing but I really like this one for the ease of use.  After the trial is up it does cost $30 to purchase the app.  I’m not sure if I will purchase it yet or not since I have a smartboard in my room but if I didn’t have a smartboard I would definitely be getting this app (though you still need a lap top and projector).
