We’ve been working on 2D Geometry and geoboards are a great way to allow students to explore the properties of 2D geometry on their own. While using the elastics they are developing a sense of how they can manipulate the shapes and they will have better recall of how to create those shapes.
When it comes to math (and most other subjects) I truly believe that hands on activities (including apps) are the way to go!
So, here is my overview of this app that I now love so much!
So to sum it all up, I love this app!! The day that I wanted to use the school geoboards I couldn’t find them at first. Then I finally did find them but all we had were the larger boards which I didn’t want to use AND there were NO elastics! Don’t you just hate when the happens? I should probably plan my lessons much further in advance to make sure I have all the materials I need…but this app totally saved the day!
Oh and did I mention this app is totally FREE!!!

Hi there, I had a pin it button for a while and then is disappeared and I have not been able to figure out how to add it back. I have a "pin it" button right in my browser that I use for pinning images from websites. Sorry about that!
I also have the images pinned on my pinterest account so if you follow me there you can pin from "My Blog Posts" board….I know, not very convenient. Hopefully I will be able to get the pin it button back soon!
I finally got my pin it button back!! If you hover over the images you will see the pinterest button!
