Better late than never, right?? My class decided that we would do a paperless Earth Day and so we spent some time in the computer lab creating Earth Day themed comics. They are still works in progress as the students get to know how to use the program but the important thing for me is that my reluctant writers LOVE writing comics! My Special Visitor
It's April and surrounding towns are calling a "State of Emergency" due to the severe ice and freezing rain that we had....did I mention it's APRIL!! Hope and Why I love My Job!
The character trait my school is focusing on this month is "Hope". My little guys got together with their big buddies and began a chart about what we thought hope meant. Going Shopping! Money Inquiry…
We started our money inquiry today and it went fantastic! I began with putting out a large piece of paper for the students to jot down what they know about money. Some drew pictures, some wrote the names of the coins, a few were drawing addition facts with coins. Then I put out the materials and told them they could explore with them and that later we would come back and add to our chart about what they know about money.
